We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the three-game late slate on Monday, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Quarterbacks
Stud
Patrick Mahomes, KC at NYG ($8,200)
Mahomes averages 20.1 DKFP, the most of any player on this slate, while also sporting a 99 overall Madden rating. Add a really easy matchup against the Giants into the equation and Mahomes figures to be well worth his lofty salary tonight. He’s scored at least 22 DKFP in each of his last three games and has totaled 7,759 passing yards in our sims.
Value
Daniel Jones, NYG vs. KC ($5,600)
Playing on the other side of Mahomes, there is reason to consider Jones a solid value play. Assuming the Giants’ porous defense is going to get thrashed by the Chiefs’ offense, the Gmen are going to have to throw the ball to keep up. Jones has scored at least 17 DKFP in seven of his last eight games and this should be a good game script for him to have to throw the ball a ton.
Running Backs
Stud
Tevin Coleman, SF at JAX ($5,600)
This is another slate where I feel that Coleman is by far the top running back option. He averages the most DKFP of any running back on the slate and we don’t have to break the bank to roster him. In fact, Coleman is the cheapest starting running back on tonight’s slate. The 49ers’ back is the only RB on the slate with over 2,000 rushing yards.
Value
Nyheim Hines, IND at NO ($3,600)
Playing in New Orleans, there’s a pretty good chance that the Colts will be losing in this game. If this is the case, Hines should have the chance for a big game. As the team’s pass catching back, we have seen him have a handful of big games and rack up PPR points when Indy is playing from behind. He averages over two catches per game and puts up 8.6 DKFP per simulation.
Wide Receivers
Stud
Tyreke Hill, KC at NYG ($8,000)
Hill is going to be popular on this slate and for good reason. He averages the most fantasy points of any skill position player playing tonight and the matchup against the Giants can’t get any better. The Giants’ top cornerback, DeAndre Baker, only has a 71 overall rating and isn’t particularly fast with an 88 speed rating. Hill is a 96 overall with a 99 speed rating. I am expecting Hill to have at least one long touchdown in this matchup.
Value
Ted Ginn Jr., NO vs. IND ($3,700)
Typically a boom or bust receiver, Ginn has been more boom than bust as of late. He’s scored at least 23 DKFP in three of his last four games and has at least a dozen DKFP in eight of his last nine games. For the cheap salary on Ginn, I don’t think there is all that much risk in rostering him. He’s been playing like a guy who should have a much greater salary and has been a frequent touchdown threat in our sims. Ginn has over 1,500 receiving yards and scored 18 sim touchdowns.

Tight Ends
Stud
George Kittle, SF at JAX ($6,200)
Kittle and Travis Kelce ($6,000) are interchangeable options here. Kittle has been the better fantasy producer with an average of 15.2 DKFP but Kelce has the better matchup against the Giants and is slightly cheaper. Matchup aside, I am leaning towards Kittle since he’s been a bit more consistent. Kittle has scored double-digit DKFP in seven straight games and Kelce has been held under 10 DKFP in three of his last four contests.
Value
James O’Shaughnessy, JAX vs. SF ($3,500)
At tight end, it’s tough for me to get away from the Pro Bowl options at the top of the pricing. If you need a cheap flex option or have to safe money at TE, this is where O’Shaughnessy could come into play. He’s the cheapest starting tight end on tonight’s slate, but still averages 12.5 DKFP. Per dollar, he is one of the stronger plays of the night. In addition, O’Shaughnessy has back-to-back games with at least 23 DKFP.
Defense/Special Teams
49ers DST at JAX ($2,500)
Considering the 49ers have the best real life defense on this slate, it’s a bit weird to see them with such a cheap price tag in a not so difficult matchup against the Jaguars. Since no defense on this slate is averaging more than 4.3 DKFP, it makes sense to punt the position and we can’t do much better than nearly the minimum price for San Fran.
