Best NBA Finals bet among favorites, long shots to face Utah Jazz

We take a look at the matchup odds for the Jazz in the NBA Finals and pick out two potential bets to consider.

The Utah Jazz always seem to be clumped into the middle of the Western Conference each season. Does this mean they’re contenders? Sort of. We shouldn’t completely rule out the chances of the Jazz making a playoff run. There are, of course, a lot of factors to consider with the NBA trying to restart at the end of July. We don’t know what condition teams will be in and that gives a squad like the Jazz a decent shot. If Utah does make it to the Finals, who are the most likely opponents? Let’s take a look at some odds on DKSB.

Utah Jazz NBA Finals matchup odds

Best Favorite Bet: Jazz vs. Bucks (+2300)

Since we get pretty long odds for the Jazz to make it to the Finals in the first place, we get value on taking them to face the favorite in the East. Milwaukee could struggle when the NBA returns. The Bucks could also steamroll their way to the Finals, something most of us probably expect. I like the parity in the East a bit more than the West, so let’s look at a longshot bet.

Best Longshot Bet: Jazz vs. 76ers (+15000)

I’m high on Philadelphia when the NBA returns. Out of all the teams that needed a break, the Sixers seem to benefit the most with a healthy Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Both the Sixers and Jazz have good interior defense, so a matchup of Rudy Gobert and Embiid in the Finals would get the “Defense wins Championships” crowd going. Defense could be big in the return if teams are rusty.
