Lamar Jackson, BAL vs. MIA, $7,600 – While both Jackson and Tom Brady ($7,400) have fantastic matchups on this slate, Jackson’s athleticism will always be the differentiating factor. The reigning MVP has rushed for 15 touchdowns throughout these simulations, and in the games where he’s found the end zone with his legs, Jackson’s averaging a staggering 25.6 DKFP. Essentially, if the Louisville product can scramble for a TD, he’s going to be the highest-scoring QB on Sunday evening.

Cam Newton, CAR vs. GB, $6,400 – I feel pretty strongly that this isn’t the slate to be paying down at quarterback, but if you must, Newton is as far down the pricing list as I’m willing to go. The former first-overall pick hasn’t been as consistent as you might expect in these streams; however, he has managed to exceed 24.0 DKFP five times in his last 13 starts, a figure that showcases his upside.

Running Backs

James White, NE at WAS, $5,800 – White is coming off a horrendous performance against Buffalo on Friday, yet in the six games prior to that loss, the RB had averaged a very enticing 17.3 DKFP per contest. Really, it just comes down to role. Unlike Aaron Jones ($6,400) and Derrius Guice ($5,200), White does everything for the Patriots. He’s the primary rusher, he’s a pass-catcher and he gets most of the team’s touches near the goal line. Look for him to bounce back versus a weak Washington squad.

Patrick Laird, MIA at BAL, $3,000 – This three-game slate features a dearth of viable running back options, so you wouldn’t be insane to seriously consider punting the position with someone like Laird. The former UDFA isn’t the “lead” back in Miami’s system; however, he is averaging more DKFP per game than Kalen Ballage ($4,200) through the Dolphins’ 29 simulations. Laird’s also caught 14 passes in Miami’s last three contests, which, at the minimum, is more than enough volume to bring back value.

Wide Receivers

D.J. Moore, CAR vs. GB, $6,400 – Moore has been operating at an entirely different level the past couple of weeks. In fact, Carolina’s no. 1 receiving option has exceeded 17.0 DKFP in seven of his last nine games. That’s also a span of time where Moore has registered eight touchdowns and has hit the 100-yard receiving bonus on four separate occasions. It’s fair if you don’t believe in game-to-game correlation in these simulations, but Moore’s massive ceiling is not up for debate.

Mohamed Sanu, NE at WAS, $4,100 – If you’re looking for a value play with an exceedingly high floor, look no further than Sanu. New England has played 29 simulations coming into Sunday’s slate and, in those opportunities, Sanu’s managed to score at least 10.0 DKFP on 20 different occasions. It’s not like we’re discussing someone without any ceiling, either. Sanu’s 16 touchdowns rank second amongst the Patriots’ receiving corps and the veteran has surpassed the 18.0 DKFP plateau eight times.

Tight Ends

Mark Andrews, BAL vs. MIA, $5,100 – The beauty of drafting a quarterback like the aforementioned Jackson is that you really don’t have to feel pressured into stacking around him. However, if you were looking for a little bit more exposure to the Ravens’ offensive attack, Andrews is probably the way to go. The tight end leads Baltimore in these simulations with 104 receptions, including five in each of his past two starts.

Mike Gesicki, MIA at BAL, $3,800 – Here’s a possible pivot play at the position. Trust me when I tell you that everyone and their mother will be rostering Ben Watson ($4,000) on this three-game slate. While I’m not opposed to that, allow me to point out that Gesicki is also undervalued on Sunday evening. The Penn State product leads Miami with 121 receptions through 28 simulations and he’s also managed to score 20.0 DKFP four times. If Gesicki can find the end zone, he changes the context of this contest.

Defense/Special Teams

Patriots, NE at WAS, $3,200 – There are few teams in these Madden simulations that have combined New England’s ability to both force turnovers and put pressure of opposing quarterbacks. To that point, among the six units on this slate, the Patriots lead the pack in interceptions (14) and rank second to only the Packers in sacks (70). With Dwayne Haskins’ ($5,600) low awareness rating, that could mean trouble.

Panthers, CAR vs. GB, $2,800 – Two words: Luke Kuechly. Carolina’s 99 overall linebacker is almost entirely the reason why Panthers D/ST has put up an above-average 6.5 DKFP per simulation within these streams. He a forced fumble machine and, any time that ball hits the ground, there’s a chance for a defensive touchdown. Green Bay isn’t generally a team I’m looking to pick on, but Kuechly just makes things happen.
