A pair of strawweight women moving over from Invicta to the UFC will raise the curtain on UFC on ESPN 12 tomorrow night when Jinh Yu Frey takes on Kay Hansen as the first fight on the card in Las Vegas.
DraftKings DFS Values
Jinh Yu Frey: $7,700
Kay Hansen: $8,500
Yu Frey is the underdog at +138 on the money line, where Hansen is a -175 favorite.
Frey is 9-4 as an MMA pro, winning three of her last four bouts with all fights going the distance. The 35-year-old from Arlington, Texas only has three stoppages in her career, and has mostly fought on the Invicta circuit. She’s moving up from atomweight to compete here.
Hansen is 6-3 as a pro with wins in her last two. The Whittier, California native pulled off five by stoppage, including three by submission. Her last win was over Liana Ferreira Pirosin on March 6th, and her last four fights have taken place in Kansas City, Kansas.
This just isn’t a good spot unless you’ve had a chance to scout and see something in these fighters. While Hansen does get stops, five of six of them have been in the third round. The raw DFS numbers here are bad, and that’s before realizing the increase in competition here. Just stay away here and wait for more information about how these ladies perform on a bigger stage.
