The last fight on the preliminary card at UFC on ESPN 12 tonight is unranked lightweights Luis Pena and Khama Worthy. Are either of these two fighters showing DFS value?

DraftKings DFS Values

Luis Pena: $8,900
Khama Worthy: $7,300

Pena is a strong favorite at -250 on the money line, where Worthy is +195 to show his... worth.

“Violent Bob Ross” is Pena’s outstanding nickname, and he’s 8-2 and has never been stopped in an MMA fight. Winner of The Ultimate Fighter 27, four of his five fights on the main roster have gone the distance where he has a 3-2 record. At 6’3 he has a huge reach on fighters at 155 lbs., and has two KO/TKO’s and four submission wins in his career. He averages 3.32 strikes per minute as well as one takedown every 15 minutes.

Worthy is 15-6 as a pro, winning his UFC debut against Devonte Smith last August, landing 21 strikes in his TKO win at 4:15 of the first round. His sixth-straight win was also his 11th stoppage, though he’s been knocked out five times and submitted once. Fighting out of The Academy Pittsburgh, the 5’11 Worthy will have to deal with the height and length of his opponent to find a win.

You’ve got to find some underdogs to pull the win in DFS, and we like Worthy here to pull the upset. He can get inside of Ross with his fists and take it to the mat if needed. Pena only defends 45% of takedown attempts, and he’ll need to survive too many here. Worthy as a dog is our play here.
