We break down the starting order for Saturday’s Pocono 150 in the Gander Outdoors Truck Series.

The NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series runs the Pocono Organics 150 this Saturday at 12:30 p.m ET. The race will air on FS1 and take place at Pocono Raceway ahead of the NASCAR Cup Series’ Pocono 350. It will be the first of four races set to take place at the venue this weekend.

Kyle Busch secured his second win of the season in the last race of the series at the Baptist Health 200 earlier this month. However, he’ll be focusing on the NASCAR Cup Series this weekend, which makes Ross Chastain the favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook.

NASCAR will not hold traditional qualifying runs to cut down on events and attempt to protect health and safety. The Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series are using random draws connected to points standings. The Truck Series will use a similar process to the Cup Series, drawing randomly from three groups to figure out spots 1-10, 11-21, and 22-32. Here is how the starting grid was determined for Saturday.

  • Positions 1-10: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
  • Positions 11-21: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
  • Positions 22-32: Random draw of teams in those positions in owner points
  • Any vehicles that are eligible for the Event in position 33rd – 40th will be assigned starting positions based on their order of eligibility.

Chastain is favored at +400 with Busch out of the picture. He’ll start in 16th and led for 54 laps en route to a win in his last race at Pocono and will start at 15th. He’s trailed by Brett Moffitt (+450) and Austin Hill (+600).

Johnny Sauter (+900) is sixth in the odds and is the pole sitter. He’s trailed by Sheldon Creed (+2500) and Austin Hill (+600) on the starting grid.

Here’s what the rest of the field looks like for Saturday’s Truck Series race.
