The Philadelphia Eagles and Denver Broncos will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Pick
Miles Sanders ($11,400)
We’re going to have snow at Mile High in this Showdown simulation. You know what that means! We’re going to lean on the best RB in this contest in Sanders, who has posted some insane numbers in previous sims. That type of upside is hard to find and generally workhorse RBs like Sanders get a ton of touches. He’s a completely different player in Madden.
Fade of the Game
Drew Lock ($16,200 CP)
This is a pretty easy QB fade for me, dawg. Lock hasn’t been all that great in sim land and the snow scares me away. Whenever we get Weather Wednesday, it’s generally bad news for QBs. The Eagles defense is vulnerable to the pass, but again, Lock doesn’t have a ton of upside and could be held back by the conditions.
Value Picks
Nelson Agholor ($4,800) — I love going with cheap WRs in these Showdown contest and Agholor shouldn’t have a tough time holding onto the ball in Madden. The game is in the snow, so I’m a little worried. The thing is, if we see sloppy tackling that could mean and easy breakaway TD for Agholor, who has great speed.
Dallas Goedert ($2,400) — Sometimes we need to go off the beaten path and this is one of those contests. Goedert shouldn’t have high ownership with Zach Ertz and Noah Fant also available. Goedert doesn’t have much of a ceiling and is a risky play, but could pay dividends if he finds the end zone.
