We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the three-game late slate on Wednesday, which starts at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Quarterbacks
Stud
Tom Brady, NE at PIT ($7,400)
There isn’t a standout performer on the high end of the pricing range. Brady makes for a decent option although I don’t think this is a great slate to pay up for a QB. With this being a Weather Wednesday slate, I prefer looking for a running QB that can avoid some of the effects of the bad weather conditions. This description doesn’t fit Brady, but he has had a lot of success in our sims. He averages 19 DKFP and has thrown 58 touchdowns to seven interceptions.
Value
Josh Allen, BUF vs. CAR ($6,200)
Due to the weather situation, I like Allen as my top overall QB play on this slate. While most of the quarterbacks on this slate are pocket passers, Allen is the only guy at the position we can count on to make plays with his legs if Weather Wednesday ends up being an issue for passing games. A lot of you might be looking at the available players and say “what about Cam Newton?” In our sims, he hasn’t been a running quarterback and only 162 total rushing yards. For comparison, Allen has 1,346 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns on the ground.

Running Backs
Stud
Miles Sanders, PHI at DEN ($5,200)
The top running back on the slate from a DKFP perspective, Sanders is scoring 16.2 DKFP per game. He’s also one of the rare running backs that we can count on for consistent production and he rarely has bad games. Sanders has scored at least 11 DFKP in five of his last seven games, which is huge when we consider how difficult it is to get production from an RB. With involvement in the passing game and over 2,000 simulated rushing yards, Sanders is my favorite running back on the slate.
Value
Jaylen Samuels, PIT vs. NE ($3,000)
Even though he’s a super risky play, I think I can make a case for Samuels. Due to his role as a pass-catching running back, we could see Samuels get most of the reps out of the backfield in the fourth quarter. The Pats have been extremely difficult to beat lately and have won 12 of their last 13 games. This leads me to believe that the Steelers will likely be trailing, setting up Samuels to rack up some late PPR points at min price.
Wide Receivers
Stud
Courtland Sutton, DEN vs. PHI ($6,300)
Since we don’t have any wide receivers with a 90+ Madden rating on tonight’s slate, we have to look at the next tier of receivers as players to spend up for. Averaging 14.4 DKFP, Sutton is a guy who makes sense. His lower rating for a top receiver combined with some poor quarterback play from Drew Lock ($5,400), has led to some variance although the upside is apparent. Two games ago, Sutton scored 33.3 DKFP in a game against the Falcons.
Value
Mohamed Sanu, NE at PIT ($3,900)
For his price, I think Sanu is the safest wide receiver target on the slate. Even though he’s priced below $4,000, Sanu has caught over 100 passes for 1,498 yards and has scored 15 touchdowns. In addition, He’s scored at least 13 DKFP in six of his last seven games. Playing with Tom Brady in Madden has some benefits.

Tight Ends
Stud
Zach Ertz, PHI at DEN ($5,400)
Ertz has the best Madden rating of any pass catcher on tonight’s slate. This has also led to solid production since he averages 15.3 DKFP, the most of any tight end or wide receiver playing tonight. There is also reason to think the weather situation might increase his targets a bit. Since this game is being played in the snow, Carson Wentz ($6,800) might not be able to get the ball downfield, leading to him throwing safer passes over the middle to his tight end.
Value
Ben Watson, NE at PIT ($4,100)
We can never really go wrong rostering Watson. He makes for a great flex play to roster alongside Ertz. At a cheap price, Watson is averaging 14.9 DKFP and has scored double-digit DKFP in nine of his last 12 games. Since the Patriots don’t have an elite top receiver, we have seen Brady spread the ball around a ton. This has meant big production from cheaper players like Watson and Sanu.
Defense/Special Teams
Eagles DST at DEN ($3,000)
It’s not hard to envision this being a game where Lock struggles. He has the lowest Madden rating of any QB playing tonight and he is going to be playing in bad weather. Since Lock only averages 14.1 DKFP and has thrown 12 interceptions, he’s a good QB to pick on tonight. He’s been held under 3.5 DKFP in two of his last three games.
