How the public is betting La Liga matches today, including Barca-Bilbao

There are three matches in La Liga today, and the favorites are receiving most of the early action at DraftKings Sportsbook.

The day starts off with Levante hosting Atlético Madrid at Estadio Ciudad de Valencia at 1:30 p.m. ET along the central Mediterranean coast. Levante is firmly established mid-table, but 10 points from European qualification. Striker Roger Marti leads all scorers for Levante with 11 goals on the domestic campaign, but the face a Madrid sitting third and in need of points to stay in the top four to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Diego Simeone’s charges are once again leading with their defense first: They’ve conceded only 22 times in 30 matches this season while scoring 38, led by nine goals from Álvaro Morata.

Valladolid hosts Getafe at Estadio José Zorrilla also at 1:30 p.m. ET, and there is still some work to do for the home side who are seven points clear of relegation entering today. The Albivioletas have just four points from their last five matches in the league, and will look to leading scorer Sergi Guardiola to add to his account today.

Getafe have the first Europa League spot as of now with 48 points, but Real Sociedad and Villarreal are right behind them with 47 waiting for any mistake. Super sub Ángel Rodríguez has 10 goals from only eight starts this season while playing less than half of the eligible minutes for the Azulones.

And the only match at 4:00 p.m. ET is FC Barcelona, fighting for the title with Real Madrid as per usual, hosting Athletic Bilbao who are stuck in no-mans land in the table in ninth place, five points from a Europa League place. Barca and Madrid are both on 65 points through 30 matches, but Real leads the head-to-head matchup 2-0 on aggregate, and will win the title if there’s a tie atop the table after all 38 rounds of competition.

Barca are their usual breathtaking selves, with Lionel Messi leading all scorers with 21 goals and 14 assists on the domestic campaign. He’s created those 21 goals on chances totaling just 15 xG, and is in as good a form as we’ve ever seen from him at 32 years old. There is no room for error for the Catalan giants, so all three points will be needed each time out until the end of the campaign.
