The Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. ET. DraftKings will have a Showdown contest for the game, and we break down ideal lineup strategies here.

Captain’s Picks

The Rams have one of the more versatile passing attacks in Madden and will be up against a weak Dolphins secondary. Jared Goff ($16,500) should be the most obvious captain’s choice because of this, but you can also pick your poison between Los Angeles pass catchers. Robert Woods ($11,700) and Brandin Cooks ($11,100) should get an edge over WR1 Cooper Kupp.

You can’t count out the Rams’ defense ($6,000) here though, as it has a strong group of defensive backs to match up against the Dolphins’ receiving corps. A unit anchored by Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey has to receive some consideration — especially against an offense with no running game and a streaky passing attack.

Flex Men

Todd Gurley ($8,600) is the top running back pick in this game because of how unproductive both Miami’s options are. The Dolphins’ weak defensive line and linebacker group could be exposed down the stretch on the ground and through the air if Los Angeles builds a significant lead. The speedy Jakeem Grant ($4,800) has 96 speed and is the fastest player Miami has to offer. He’s also the kickoff return man and has taken one back to the house this sim season. He can make big plays if he gets the ball in space, but Albert Wilson ($5,400) is also worth a look.
