In the Greenwich Mean Time Zone, you would call this Monday Night Football. But here in the USA, it’s a fun afternoon match between two quality sides when Manchester City takes on Burnley at Etihad Stadium today at 3:00 p.m. ET live on NBCSN.
There are plenty of fantasy contests for the match available at DraftKings, and we break down the best way to put some points on your fantasy roster today.
Captain’s Pick
Raheem Sterling ($15,900)
Sterling scored in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over shambolic Arsenal, and had three shots, and created five chances. He’s an in-form attacker that can either score himself or become provider, and he’s playing for the side that should be the victor today. The 24-year-old has 12 goals in 24 starts for City this season.
Flex Picks
Dwight McNeil ($8,800)
This match should be mostly one-way traffic, especially with the injuries to the Clarets up and down the pitch. But the 19-year-old McNeil looks to feature for the Three Lions soon, and has two goals and five assists in the toughest league in the world this season. He’s got a chance to be one of the best in the world soon, and City of course can score with any team on the planet. But they can get a bit leaky with a lead, and the youngster could strike in the second half.
David Silva ($7,800)
The captain only played 65 minutes vs. the Gunners on Wednesday, but averages 10.6 fantasy points per match this season. With Kevin De Bruyne and Sterling ahead of him as options, the veteran that has won everything in football can play them in and add points without scoring. He can also tackle in midfield when needed to add points.
