Top picks, sleeper options to consider for NASCAR DFS at Talladega

Can Ryan Blaney get that elusive first win of the season at Talladega Superspeedway?

The NASCAR Cup Series’ GEICO 500 is set to begin Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. ET at Talladega Superspeedway. DraftKings has DFS contests available for the race, and we break down some ideal picks and sleepers below. You can set your lineup here.

Best Bets

Ryan Blaney ($10,100)

Blaney’s price has skyrocketed for a reason. He’s put together three straight top five finishes and is part of a five-way tie for most top five finishes (6) this year. He’s trending in the right direction and will return to the track he won at by edging out Ryan Newman last October.

Brad Keselowski ($9,600)

If you want a driver that’s very likely to finish toward the front for under $10,000, Keselowski is your guy. He has more wins (5) at Talladega than any other driver in the field. Although he hasn’t been great at Talladega recently, he hasn’t dropped outside the top 10 since mid May.

Sleeper Picks

Kurt Busch ($8,500)

Busch missed the top 10 for the first time in five races at the Dixie Vodka 400. Although he’s never won at Talladega, he has more top 10 finishes (20) than any other driver. He also has eight top five finishes at the venue, and his experience could keep him in the hunt.

Aric Almirola ($6,800)

Almirola has notched four straight top 10 finishes at Talladega since 2018 and has gotten one win during that time frame. Only Joey Logano ($10,200) has been able to match his average finishing position since February of 2018, so under $7,000 is a bargain — especially since Almirola is coming off a fifth place finish.
