Belmont is normally the final of the three Triple Crown races. The Kentucky Derby normally runs in the first weekend in May, the Preakness Stakes is two weeks later, and the Belmont Stakes runs early in the second week of June. The Covid-19 pandemic resulted in the Derby moving to September 5th and the Preakness moving to October 3rd.
