Two well-regarded bantamweight women do battle as Raquel Pennington faces Marion Reneau at UFC on ESPN 11 tonight in Las Vegas. But should this fight be on your fantasy card?

DraftKings DFS Values

Raquel Pennington: $8,800
Marion Reneau: $7,400

Pennington is a -180 favorite, with Reneau chasing at +140 on the money line.

With losses in three of her last four fights, Pennington is 10-8 career. But her resume is excellent with wins over Jessica Andrade, Bethe Correia, and Miesha Tate. She’s 6-5 since joining the UFC, but only has four stoppages in her career, and none since September of 2015. She lands 3.42 strikes per minute, as well as 1.16 takedowns per 15 minutes.

Reneau turns 43 today, and is 9-5-1 career and 5-4-1 in the UFC. She’s lost her last two fights by unanimous decision to Cat Zingano and Yana Kunitskaya, and hasn’t been in the octagon since March of 2019. She’ll want to fight on her feet, landing 3.46 strikes per minute, but only attempting 0.35 takedowns per full bout.

With Pennington’s lack of stopping power but talent advantage over a fighting veteran like Reneau, there doesn’t seem to be a ton of value in this bout. It should be a fun fight for technical MMA fans, but that doesn’t score stoppage points on your fantasy roster. This is a stay away.
