UPDATE, 1:50 p.m.: We’ve seen a huge swing at DraftKings Sportsbook, with the betting public jumping on the huge underdog. 51 percent of handle and 56 percent of bets are on Justin Jaynes a few hours before the card starts.
Due to a positive Covid-19 test from the corner of fighter Matt Frevola, Frank Camacho takes on last-minute replacement Justin Jaynes at UFC on ESPN 11 tonight in Las Vegas. Camacho did miss weight for this fight by two pounds, and will forfeit 20% of his purse to Jaynes for the miss.
The weight miss hasn’t hurt Camacho at the betting window as his odds stay the same. Though he’s 22-8 and has lost three of his last four fights, the quality of opponent he’s faced is better than his opponent has on the independent circuit. “The Crank” has 19 career stoppages, and lands 6.23 strikes per minute. He’s getting 91% of the bets and 95% of the handle on this fight so far.
Justin “Guitar Hero” Jaynes has shown promise, with a 15-4 record and 13 early stoppages. He’s won his last three fights all by first round stoppage in the World Extreme Cagefighting promotion, with victory in nine of his last ten bouts. As a last minute replacement, despite the strong independent work, he’s receiving just 9% of tickets and 5% of the dollars wagered on this fight so far, but that might change closer to the bell.
Here are the betting splits at DraftKings Sportsbook for Frank Camacho vs. Justin Jaynes at UFC on ESPN 11 on June 20th:
Betting odds
Frank Camacho: opened -360, now -360
Justin Jaynes: opened +260, now +260
