Studs
Mohamed Salah ($10,500)
Salah hasn’t been at his best this season. Despite that, he is the third-highest goal-scorer this year with 16 goals and 6 assists. That’s how proficient he has been in front of goal, leading Liverpool’s charge to the Premier League title. First things first, Salah and Liverpool will look to put away Everton to inch closer to the inevitable crown.
Values
Tammy Abraham ($7,500)
Abraham started the season in sensational scoring form, but he has subsequently lost some of that offensive fluency. He has even been sidelined for a few games with injuries. He has managed 13 goals this season, putting himself in the top 10 in the EPL goal-scoring charts. The break came at a good time for Abraham and he can now reset and go again.
Others to consider: Christian Pulisic ($8,000)
Midfielders
Studs
Sadio Mane ($10,200)
The work ethic and fitness of Mane is unparalleled in the Premier League. He transitions seamlessly from defense to offense without any impact on his game. That’s why manager Jurgen Klopp often keeps Mane on the pitch for the duration of the game. He has scored 14 goals with 7 assists this season. Not many in the EPL, apart from maybe Kevin De Bruyne, have had the same all-around impact.
Others to consider: Mason Mount ($7,000).
Values
Roberto Firmino ($6,700)
Rounding off arguably the best three-man offense in the world right now is Firmino. I’m pleasantly surprised by his extremely low and affordable price. He has scored 8 goals with 7 assists this season, playing for the best team in England, and has also managed 11.1 DKFP per game. These reasons combine to form an easy selection.
Defenders
Studs and values
Trent Alexander-Arnold ($9,000) and Virgil van Dijk ($4,300)
You wouldn’t see prices like these on too many slates for a defender. This is rare and atypical, but that’s because of Alexander-Arnold’s incredible offensive prowess. He is the designated setpiece-taker for Liverpool, delivering the ball into the six-yard box for Virgil van Dijk among others. That’s also the reason van Dijk is in this category.
Alexander-Arnold has scored 2 goals and has also delivered 12 assists so far this season, while van Dijk has scored four goals. Both of them also form part of the best defensive team in the league. Liverpool has conceded just 21 goals this season, comfortably the fewest in the Premier League.
Goalkeepers
Kepa Arrizabalaga ($5,700)
Chelsea has had a middling defensive season so far. They have conceded 39 goals in 29 games. However, Aston Villa has had a terrible offensive campaign, having scored just 34 goals this season. Chelsea should return to the Premier League with a clean sheet.
Others to consider: Dean Henderson ($5,000).
