We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the 6-game slate, which starts at 12:00 p.m. ET.

Lamar Jackson, BAL at DET, $7,600 – Simply by not being the most expensive QB on this slate, Jackson became a subject of interest. The man is just such an explosive fantasy asset. Jackson comes into Thursday as one of two available quarterbacks averaging over 20.0 DKFP per start; a number that’s been inflated recently due to the reigning MVP having exceeded 24.0 DKFP in four of Baltimore’s past six games. I mean, the fact he’s registered 13 rushing touchdowns sort of says it all.
Dwayne Haskins, WAS at SEA, $5,600 – This tilt seems like it has the potential to be the highest-scoring on the slate. Washington’s defense is always down to give up 30 points to an opponent, and sneakily, Seattle’s secondary has been picked apart more often than not in these simulations. Yes, Haskins has failed to throw a TD in two-straight starts; however, he’s also managed to exceed 25.0 DKFP in seven starts. The man has some serious upside.
Devonta Freeman, ATL vs. DEN, $6,100 – This isn’t exactly an ideal matchup, but role has tended to mean more than opponent so far in these streams. Anyway, how could you not be enticed by Freeman? The RB is averaging an impressive 18.6 DKFP across his past 14 games, as he’s not only been scoring touchdowns, but also catching an insane amount of passes. He truly does it all.
Devin Singletary, BUF at IND, $5,300 – Generally, I try and avoid Bills games entirely, but Singletary has been pretty productive as of late. The rookie has reached double-digit DKFP in seven of Buffalo’s last 12 simulations, usually due to solid contributions as a pass-catcher out of the backfield. Still, if you’re going to spend this much on Singletary, maybe finding the $500 to simply own Damien Williams ($5,800) is the better route. It’s something to at least keep in mind.
Julian Edelman, NE vs. NYJ, $6,700 – Edelman has shaken off a terribly slow start to these simulations by averaging 15.5 DKFP across his last 13 opportunities. In fact, Edelman’s managed to catch 11 of his 15 total touchdowns in that exact span of time. Essentially, he’s been a completely different fantasy asset and the Jets don’t have a corner equipped to slow him down.
DK Metcalf, SEA vs. WAS, $4,300 – As mentioned above, to me, this matchup smells like the barnburner on this six-game slate. So, if you’re looking to get exposure to the Seahawks’ attack, there really isn’t a better combination of ceiling and value than Metcalf. The rookie wideout hasn’t always been the most consistent DFS asset in these streams; however, he has managed to exceed 20.0 DKFP five times in Seattle’s past 16 contests. That’s the kind of slate-breaking potential you’re searching for in a GPP this size.

Travis Kelce, KC at PIT, $6,200 – The Steelers’ defense has a habit of keeping games low-scoring, yet, at the same time, how could you not trust Kelce at this point? Sure, the touchdown production hasn’t been at quite the level I’d expect for someone rated so, so highly in Madden; however, the All-Pro has caught at least six passes in eight of Kansas City’s past 13 simulations. In these condensed quarters, that’s a crazy amount of volume.
Ryan Griffin, NYJ at NE, $3,700 – While there’s no way to tell if Griffin is going to continue his hot streak against New England, the fact that he’s mustered 25 receptions in New York’s past four games in lunacy. Also, even if he does regress a little bit on Thursday, he’s so ridiculously cheap that it won’t even matter all that much.
Patriots, NE vs. NYJ, $3,200 – It’s hard to argue with the Patriots having the most expensive DST on this slate. Among the 12 teams taking the virtual field on Thursday, New England leads the pack in interceptions (12) and sacks (55). I mean, I don’t want to simplify things too much, but that’s all you’re really looking for in these simulations in terms of defensive production.
Seahawks, SEA vs. WAS, $2,700 – Well, let’s say you don’t agree with my take that WAS-SEA will be a high-scoring simulation. In that case, you might as well play the Seahawks’ DST, as they’ve forced and recovered a slate-best 20 fumbles in prior streams. Combine that with Haskins’ low awareness rating and we could see some turnovers in virtual Seattle.
