The PGA Tour returns to Hilton Head Island this week with the 2020 RBC Heritage. The tournament tees off Thursday morning, and Rory McIlroy, Bryson DeChambeau, and Justin Thomas are your early favorites at DraftKings Sportsbook.
There will be plenty of wagering on who will win the tournament, but once the tournament starts, you’re stuck waiting four days for the results. Why not bet on a round-by-round basis as well? The book offers odds on who will lead after each round, giving you some same day finality.
The leader after round 1 odds run similar to the overall winner. The odds are longer, but the order is fairly similar. You can view the full list at the bottom of the page. In the meantime, bettors are digging a little deeper for these odds. Matt Kuchar in particular makes a ton of sense given his past success at Hilton Head.

Last week, Justin Rose and Harold Varner III were co-leaders at the end of round 1. Rose is a known commodity, so his +5000 odds were not super long. However, Varner came in at +12500 to accomplish the feat!
A solid first day puts a golfer in position to get into the weekend, but some notable names stumbled after performing well on day 1. Tom Lehman shot a 65 to finished tied for 7th on Thursday, but missed the cut thanks to a second day 74. Sepp Straka, Ryan Moore, and Vaughn Taylor all shot 66 in round one, but north of 70 in the second round cost them.
