It’s unlikely that Kelly Oubre Jr. will join the Suns when the NBA season resumes in late July. We break down

The Phoenix Suns might have improved their title odds from +50000 to +30000 since May, but their title odds are expected to drop significantly now that Kelly Oubre Jr. has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Oubre tore his meniscus in February and had surgery in March to repair his injury. While there was speculation that he might return down the stretch this season to help Phoenix make a playoff push. But the Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday that the forward is expected to sit out and continue rehabbing his knee. The Suns’ chances of winning a championship were already slim with Oubre, so without him they have almost no shot.

Let’s take a look at the fantasy basketball impact of Oubre’s injury.

Fantasy Basketball impact: Suns F Kelly Oubre

Oubre might be out, but Frank Kaminsky could still return from the knee injury he suffered in December and log some minutes alongside Deandre Ayton. He’ll be competing with Dario Saric for playing time and has posted similar numbers across the board this year. Cameron Johnson could also be asked to play more spot minutes at power forward and stretch the floor with his outside shooting.
