We’re all in need of some entertainment during these times of the unknown. DraftKings is doing its part by offering Madden simulations with a variety of teams going at it. For this piece, we’ll focus on the three-game late slate Wednesday, which starts at 6 p.m. ET.

Quarterbacks
Stud
Deshaun Watson, HOU at TB ($7,000)
The top player in our simulation, Watson is averaging 22.8 DKFP. He’s also been terrific lately, scoring at least 30 DKFP in three of his past four games. Due to his rushing ability, I am not too concerned about this being a weather game. I think it makes sense to target QBs who are able to run the ball on these weather Wednesday slates. In the Texans’ sims, Watson has rushed for 1,213 yards and nine touchdowns.
Value
Jameis Winston, TB vs. HOU ($6,200)
Winston is the answer here by process of elimination. On a slate filled with high-end quarterbacks, the only cheap guys to choose from are Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick ($5,900). Playing in Miami, Fitzpatrick has a brutal matchup and Winston has a decent matchup against a weak Texans’ secondary. Winston has also been the better fantasy asset based on DKFP averages.
Running Backs
Stud
Tevin Coleman, SF vs. MIA ($5,800)
Typically, Coleman is a chalk play at running back. He’s been the best player at the position with an average of 17.9 DKFP and there aren’t many running backs performing well. On this slate, rostering Coleman is an even easier play than normal. The player with the next best DKFP average is Lamar Miller ($5,400) at 8.2 DKFP per game. Coleman might be close to 100% owned in this contest.
Value
Patrick Laird, MIA at SF ($3,000)
Sheesh, running back pickings are slim on this slate. With Coleman the only player averaging double-digit DKFP, I think it makes a ton of sense to punt with the second running back option. If we aren’t going to be getting any production out of our second back, we might as well go with somebody that won’t cost much cap space. Laird is min price and this looks like a decent game script for him. In a tough matchup against the 49ers, Miami will likely be trailing late in the game and lean on Laird to play extra snaps as the pass-catching back. He averages 7.0 DKFP, the fifth most of any RB playing tonight.

Wide Receivers
Stud
DeAndre Hopkins, HOU at TB ($7,800)
Stacking Hopkins with Watson makes a ton of sense. One of the players in Madden with a 98 overall rating, Hopkins is going to have a massive advantage going up against the Bucs’ secondary. They don’t have a single cornerback rated higher than a 76. Hopkins comes into today with 108 catches for 1,724 yards and 19 touchdowns. He’s also found the end zone in back-to-back games.
Value
Mike Williams, LAC vs. GB ($4,300)
Williams is closing in on 2,000 simulated receiving yards. There’s a case to be made that, per dollar, he’s been the most valuable fantasy asset in our simulations. He is rarely expensive and averages 18.5 DKFP, making him one of the most productive players in Madden at any position. Williams almost never has a bad game and has scored double-digit DKFP in eight straight contests.

Tight Ends
Stud
George Kittle, SF vs. MIA ($6,200)
The top-rated tight end in Madden, Kittle should be able to run right through the Dolphins’ secondary. Overall, Kittle has been great with 128 catches for 1,771 yards, but he’s oddly been unable to find the end zone of late. He’s gone 14 games without scoring a touchdown and Kittle scored in almost all of San Francisco’s games prior to this stretch. Kittle is still racking up plenty of catches and yards, so common sense dictates he is going to have to score eventually. This is the perfect matchup for him to finally catch his 10th simulated touchdown.
Value
O.J. Howard, TB vs. HOU ($4,300)
If you’re trying to save money at tight end or find a guy to play in the FLEX spot, Howard is averaging 13.1 DKFP at a cheap price. Unlike in real life, Howard has been a major part of the Buccaneers’ offense in our sims. He’s caught at least four passes in eight of his past nine games and has scored over 30 DKFP three times during this stretch.
Defense/Special Teams
49ers DST vs. MIA ($3,000)
On a slate loaded with strong QB play, the Niners get to play Ryan Fitzpatrick ($5,900). He is averaging 16.7 DKFP, the least of any QB on the slate, and is one of the only quarterbacks that has been interception prone. Fitzmagic has tossed 10 sim picks and the 49ers have the best real-life defense of any team playing tonight.
