La Liga brings us a midday doubleheader today, which makes two mid-table sides more compelling as they’ll have the football stage of the world to themselves.

DraftKings has several showdown contests for today’s match, including via DFS Showdown where finding the goal scorers can be key. These aren’t the most attacking teams in Spain, but Betis can be leaky: They’ve conceded 45 times this year, third-most in the league.

What we’ve learned from the Bundesliga action and through one round in Spain is home pitch is not really mattering in the “ghost games” as the Germans call them. And that’s before factoring in that Sevilla are the far better side anyway.

Here are our DFS picks for Real Betis vs. Granada in DFS showdown contests today:

Captain’s Pick

Carlos Fernandez ($12,300)

Following the layoff, go with the in-form player that can score. The Granada midfielder scored against Getafe on Friday, and probably should have had a brace but an own goal was given to Djené in the 70th minute instead. Also had six shots and 11 accurate passes from the #10 spot in the 4-2-3-1 alignment.

Flex Picks

Darwin Machis ($10,800)

Had one assist from four crosses and two chances created in 85 minutes Friday, as well as 10 accurate passes. If you believe today should be one-way traffic for Granada he’s an excellent choice, especially because the strikers might not play a full 90.

Rui Silva ($4,800)

A win and a clean sheet is 10 fantasy points, and that’s before any saves on balls from distance that have nothing but hope coming towards the 26-year-old Portuguese keeper. He shouldn’t see much in the way of attacking today, so fill in your roster on the cheap and hope for the clean sheet and a few easily-parried prayers attempted from outside the 18.
