2020 DraftKings Fantasy Golf Value Picks: Top Four PGA Tour DFS Bargains for the RBC Heritage

The PGA Tour returned from its hiatus with a great tournament last week in Fort Worth, Texas, that ultimately saw Daniel Berger ($8,900) emerge as the winner after a playoff against Collin Morikawa ($10,000). This week, the Tour heads on down to Harbour Town for the 2020 RBC Heritage at Hilton Head Island, S.C. It’s another loaded field for this tournament, including Rory McIlroy ($11,300), Justin Thomas ($10,900), Bryson DeChambeau ($10,700), Jon Rahm ($10,500) and Xander Schauffele ($10,200).

With so much star power in play, you may find yourself running short of salary for your last roster spot or two. To help you find the best cheap plays, I’ll highlight four plays this week who can contribute to your team from their affordable salaries of under $7,500.

Brian Harman, $7,200

Harman has a game that fits Harbour Town Golf Links since he isn’t the longest hitter but makes up for it with accuracy and precision. He had a solid week at the Colonial with three rounds under 70 on his way to a t23. He has six top-25 finishes on the season and has made the cut in 11 of his 13 tournaments.

In his career, Harman has a pair of top 10 finishes at the RBC, most recently a T9 in 2017. He missed the cut last season as part of an overall down year for the 33-year-old lefty, but he has looked strong since he surged to the finish of last season. His putting and precision should play well this week and he’s a solid play both in cash games where you need him to make the cut and GPP lineups, where you’re looking for a low finish.

Scott Piercy, $7,100

Piercy didn’t do much special at the Schwab last week, but he did make the cut, bringing his total to 11 made cuts in 13 tournaments on the season. When he’s in top form, Piercy is definitely someone who can contend and had three straight top 20 finishes before the break, highlighted by a T6 in Phoenix.

While he may fly under the radar after last week, his course history at Harbour Town gives him high upside. He finished T3 last year and T16 the year before. He isn’t as “safe” a play as Harman and can be boom-or-bust, but he has a very high ceiling and recent success on this track.

Brian Stuard, $6,600

Stuard made the cut but was in last place coming into the day on Sunday. He went out at Colonial in a blaze of glory, though, firing a six-under, which tied him for the lowest round of the day. He was even at seven-under before bogeying the final hole. He was putting extremely well throughout the round and will look to continue that momentum this week and improve on his decent T43. He has now made the cut in 12 of his 16 tournaments this season and finished in the top 25 three times.

If he can take that final round and build on it, he could end up being a great value since he has a good history at Harbour Town. He has made the cut in five consecutive appearances at the event with a best finish of T5, which came in 2014.

Bronson Burgoon, $6,400

In his final tournament before the long break, Burgoon had to withdraw due to a neck injury, but he looked like the time off allowed him to fully recover. He shot four rounds at par or better and finished with a three-under 67 to end up T38.

He finished T39 at Harbour Town in 2016, which was his most recent trip to the RBC Heritage. The reason I like him in this spot is since he looked 100% healthy last week, and his salary seems to be reduced because of the injury. He has made 7-of-12 cuts this season, highlighted by a T13 back in the Houston Open last fall.
