DFS considerations for Andre Fili vs. Charles Jourdain

It will be experience vs. youth for a pair of featherweights tonight on ESPN+

An experience member of Team Alpha Male takes on a young Canadian with plenty of stopping power when Andre Fili faces Charles Jourdain from the UFC Apex venue is Las Vegas this evening.

DraftKings DFS Values

Andre Fili: $8,600
Charles Jourdain: $7,600

Fili is heavily favored here because of his experience at -230, with Jourdain coming in at +180 on the money line.

Fili is 20-7 as a cagefighter with 12 stoppage wins, and 8-6 in the UFC. He’s a very active fighter, landing four strikes per minute as well as 2.49 takedowns per 15 minutes of octagon time. He’s won four of his last six fights, but dropped his bout via decision to Sodiq Yusuff. Six of his last seven outings have gone the distance.

Jourdain is an up-and-comer at age 24 with a 10-2 record, and all 10 victories by decision with seven TKO’s. He’s 1-1 in the UFC, dropping a decision to Desmond Green before defeating Doo Ho Choi by second round TKO in December. Three of his 10 early endings have been in the first round, but he hasn’t been stopped in either of his losses.

This on paper looks like a pretty equal matchup, and that’s bad for fantasy purposes. Because of the weight given to early stoppages, this might be one to avoid tonight, unless you think Jourdain can strike early and get a win. But there’s probably better value other places on the card.
