UFC 250 is in the rear view mirror, but not before some DFS excitement. The UFC 250 Millionaire DFS contest came down to a three-way tie. There was a Tournament of Champions seat up for grabs, and it remains available after the first such tie in DraftKings history. This weekend, the three qualifiers are going to face off with a UFC Fight Night DFS contest.
The winning lineup was as follows:
Amanda Nunes, $9,400: 137 DKFP
Maki Pitolo, $7,400: 105.5 DKFP
Ian Heinisch, $8,400: 110 DKFP
Aljamain Sterling, $8,200: 94 DKFP
Alex Caceres, $7,700: 96.5 DKFP
Alex Perez, $8,300: 124.5 DKFP
The key to a strong DFS finish at UFC 250 was nailing the two significant upsets. Pitolo beat Charles Byrd and Caceres stunned Chase Hooper, with both coming in as decent-sized underdogs.
This weekend, they’ll be picking from a card that is main evented by a women’s flyweight contender bout between Jessica Eye and Cynthia Calvillo. The most expensive fights on the card are Julia Avila ($9,300 vs. Gina Mazany) and Merab Dvalishvili ($9,200 vs. Ray Borg).
Dvalishvili will be a popular pick as the highest scoring fighter on the card (93.8 DKFP per fight). The key will be finding the high scoring fighters on the card that can spring upsets. For example, Charles Jourdain is the third highest scoring fighter on the card at 74.8 DKFP and comes in at $7,600. He’s currently installed at +180 for his fight with -230 favorite Andre Fili. I suspect Jourdain will get some play in hopes of scoring the upset.
