The New York Giants and Denver Broncos will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Weather Wednesday Breakdown
So as always on Wednesday we get every game with a little weather. This week, the Madden After Dark special features the Giants and Broncos in the snow at Mile High Stadium (it’s not called that anymore). Snow generally affects players’ ability to hold onto the ball mainly. So QBs will be more prone to fumbling. For a QB like Daniel Jones ($16,200 CP), who likes to run every now and then, this is a downgrade.
Captain’s Pick
DaeSean Hamilton ($7,800)
I’m pretty sure Hamilton is the WR operating out of the slot for the Broncos. If I’m wrong, sorry. Hamilton in the slot means he’s got a great matchup against the Giants, who have a bad secondary overall. The snow shouldn’t scare you off of receivers at all. The QB play might not be great but we’ll still get catches. Hamilton has HR potential against Grant Haley.
Bargain Shopping
Like I always say, the WRs are the way to go. This isn’t much different for this game, though I’d put an emphasis on getting at least one stud RB at FLEX. Darius Slayton ($5,800) will almost always be a good play as practically a WR1 for the Giants. Tim Patrick ($4,600) I’d also be interested in as a cheap WR in a great matchup. I wouldn’t mind getting a piece of the Broncos D/ST ($3,800). If the snow holds and the game is low scoring, I’d expect the Giants are the team to turn the ball over a bit.
