Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on June 10th

Wacky weather Wednesday is back, and that means the six-game slate of Madden slate will feature some interesting conditions. Rain, wind, and snow will be factors, and we break down an ideal stud and value play at each position below. You can enter your lineups here.

Quarterback

Stud

Tom Brady, Patriots ($7,400) vs. Titans

Quarterbacks as good as Brady shouldn’t be seriously affected by the rain — especially against a below average secondary. He rarely throws interceptions and has thrown more touchdowns (47) than any other quarterback in the slate.

Value

Drew Lock, Broncos ($5,400) vs. Giants

Lock has put up some monster numbers when he connects with Courtland Sutton, and New York’s highest ranked cornerback has an overall rating of 71. That also bodes well for Noah Fant. Lock might not blow you away with his numbers, but he’s shown that he has the potential too. His floor at this price makes him worth rostering. Sutton’s catching in traffic can make him a threat in the snow.

Running back

Stud

Miles Sanders, Eagles ($5,200) vs. Tampa Bay

Philadelphia loves to dink and dunk the ball to running backs, and it could do even moe of that in the snow against a Tampa Bay team with an excellent run defense. Sanders has put together some of the most impressive stat lines we’ve seen and is Carson Wentz’s most productive offensive weapon.

Stud

Patrick Laird, Dolphins ($3,000) vs. Raiders

You shouldn’t expect a lot from Laird, but he’s able to return 3x value pretty consistently and has reached double-digits in fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s not necessarily a throw away, but you shouldn’t think too much of him underperforming. On the other hand, he could return 5x value and be one of the best picks in your lineup. The rain could result in him getting more touches.

Wide receiver

Stud

Robby Anderson, Jets ($6,200) vs. Panthers

Wind hasn’t affected the passing attack significantly and Anderson’s breakaway speed gives him big-play potential. None of the receivers in the rain games are elite, but Sutton ($6,300) is the only other player north of $6,000 that I’d consider a stud.

Value

Mohamed Sanu, Patriots ($3,900) vs. Titans

Sanu has caught more touchdowns (13) than many of the star receivers in the slate. He’s tallied at least 10 fantasy points in more than 63 percent of his games and is affordable as well. He could offset the price of Brady in a Patriots stack.

Tight End

Stud

Zach Ertz, Patriots ($5,600) vs. Buccaneers

Ertz’ long ball ability trumps all other players at his position. He has the best hands on his team and leads Philadelphia in receptions (111) by a wide margin. Tampa Bay’s weak pass defense won’t get any better in the snow — especially not against one of the game’s best tight ends.

Value

Ben Watson, Patriots ($3,900) vs. Titans

How Watson slipped below $4,000 is beyond me. His ridiculous mark of 126 receptions leads all tight ends. He’s easily been Brady’s favorite target and leads all tight ends in DKFP per game (16).

Defense/Special Teams

Stud

Eagles ($3,200) vs. Buccaneers

The Eagles have an elite defensive line and Jameis Winston has a problem throwing interceptions. Even though Tampa Bay has quality receivers, the conditions could slow Winston down and cause some errant throws.

Value

Broncos ($2,800) vs. Giants

Justin Simmons is an interception machine playing centerfield at safety, and Chris Harris Jr. is no slouch either. Only the Patriots have more sacks and interceptions than Denver in this slate.
