UPDATE: How the public is betting Tyson Nam vs. Zarrukh Adashev
If you go on UFC’s website, as of now this fight is still listed as Ryan Benoit vs. Tyson Nam. But if you ask anyone in MMA circles, Benoit has been replaced by Zarrukh Adashev at UFC on ESPN this Saturday, June 13th in Las Vegas. It does seem that this fight should be at bantamweight unless a catchweight is established, and the reason for Benoit’s absence still isn’t known.
Nam is 18-11-1 as an MMA pro, and needs this win despite the short notice of fighter following defeats in his only two career UFC fights. He’s dropped a pair of decisions to Sergio Pettis and Kai Kara-France so far, and at 36 years of age this might be his last shot at staying in the top promotion. He has 11 career stoppages, 10 by knockout.
Adashev has taken this fight on four days notice and is just 3-1 career, but has won his last three fights, two by stoppage. His last bout was in October, a second round TKO over Tevin Dyce in the Bellator promotion. He’s 27, from Brooklyn, and apparently has a flexible day job.
When betting odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for Tyson Nam vs. Zarrukh Adashev at UFC Fight Night on ESPN on June 13th are established, we’ll put them here.
