The NFL released its 2020 regular season schedule Thursday evening, and with the full schedule comes opening lines for Week 1 matchups. Sportsbooks have been releasing lines for numerous games this offseason, but they were doing so while flying blind on when the games would be played. The NFL schedule is still pending the pandemic, but if it happens, Week 1 lines are set.
DraftKings Sportsbook unveiled their full list of Week 1 opening lines, along with an assortment of point totals. They are still adding point totals, so we’ll add those as they come in. The opening week starts with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans on Thursday, and closes with the Monday Night Football doubleheader featuring the New York Giants hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Denver Broncos hosting the Tennessee Titans.
Most of the opening point spreads are offering -110 odds. There are two exceptions, however. The Raiders and Seahawks are one-point rod favorites against the Panthers and Falcons, respectively. However, the -1 is paying at -105, while the +1 is paying at -117.
The other thing to keep in mind with these lines is they are set based on fans being in attendance at games. DK Sportsbook oddsmaker Johnny Avello and his team will adjust if the league has to go with no fans, but that is something to factor in since no fans will result in reduced home field advantage. There is still an advantage to playing at home, but it’s not as big without a boisterous crowd.
