We’re approaching day three of the Korea Baseball Organization’s 2020 season, and DraftKings has more DFS contests for you to participate in. We break down the best Showdown lineup picks and strategies for Thursday’s matchup between the NC Dinos and Samsung Lions here. The game will be broadcast at 5:30 a.m. ET on ESPN2.

Captain’s Picks

Aaron Altherr, NC Dinos: $15,600

Altherr recorded a goose egg in his KBO debut — going 0-for-4 on Tuesday — but showcased his power on a pair of fly balls. He sent two shots deep that could’ve gotten over the outfield wall in his first matchup against the Lions, but just missed. On Wednesday, Alther went 2-for-3, belted a homer, and scored a run. He’s a threat to light it up every night and should be one of the best power hitters in the KBO this season.

Chang Mo Koo, NC Dinos: $10,800

Dinos pitchers have done a great job against the Lions so far. In fact, each of their starters have tallied over 20 DKFP against the Lions this season. Pitchers have a ton of upside, but the Dinos’ batting makes picking David Buchanan ($11,400) risky. Sticking with Koo could give you good value and help you stack utility spots with productive Dinos players.

Utility Picks

Eui Ji Yang, NC Dinos: $9,600

Yang hasn’t performed at a high level so far, but is arguably the best catcher in the KBO. His .390 career OBP and .483 slugging percentage are top notch. He’s also hit at least 20 home runs in each of his last two seasons. He gets on base consistently and has the power to generate a ton of points at the plate as well. This could be the game where he finds his rhythm.

Dong Yeob Kim, Samsung Lions: $5,000

Aside from pitchers, Lions players haven’t been able to get much going. Kim has made an impact in each of his team’s two games though. He’s batting .375 and has recorded at least one hit in two straight games. He went 2-for-4 with a homer and a double in his last outing, tallying 19 DKFP. The DH has done his job so far and should continue to do so.
