Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on May 6th

There’s a six-game mid-week Madden DFS slate going on DraftKings Wednesday. The Los Angeles Chargers, Cincinnati Bengals, Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers will be playing. Quarterback

Philip Rivers, Chargers ($6,900) vs. Bengals

Rivers has scored at least 20 DKFP in five straight games. He’s also thrown at least three touchdowns per game during that stretch. Cincinnati doesn’t have a very good secondary and the Chargers have a ton of great pass catchers.

Baker Mayfield, Browns ($5,900) vs. Lions

Mayfield is amid a cold streak but has a chance to light it up against the Lions’ poor secondary. Consider stacking him with Odell Beckham Jr. in this one because of the mismatches all over the field. Beckham and Jarvis Landry could help Mayfield have a huge outing.

Other option: Tom Brady, Patriots ($7,400) vs. Eagles

Running back

Miles Sanders, Eagles ($5,100) vs. Patriots

Sanders is somehow the cheapest starting running back in the slate despite leading the field in DKFP per contest (15.8). He’s eclipsed 21 DKFP in three of his last four games. He eats up all Philadelphia’s touches in the backfield, so he’s a smart play that gives you great value.

Phillip Lindsay, Broncos ($6,000) vs. Cardinals

Lindsay has hit a nice stride and is going for double-digits in DKFP for a fourth straight game. The Broncos’ receiving corps isn’t great, so he’s the second best offensive weapon behind Courtland Sutton.

Giovani Bernard, Bengals ($3,600) vs. Chargers

Bernard is an RB2 who actually gets a fair amount of touches. He hasn’t necessarily had a breakout performance yet, but he always gives you something. He has a high floor for a player under $4,000 and could come up big for you if he poaches a score from Joe Mixon.

J.D. McKissic, Giants ($3,300) vs. Browns

McKissic consistently outperforms Kerryon Johnson and is dirt cheap. RB2s that get more work than starters are often sleepy good picks. McKissic is up there with the likes of Tarik Cohen. His upside might not be as high, but he saves you salary elsewhere in your lineup.

Other options: Todd Gurley II, Rams ($6,100) vs. Packers; James White, Patriots ($5,700) vs. Eagles

Wide receiver

Keenan Allen, Chargers ($7,400) vs. Bengals

Definitely consider stacking Phillip Rivers with Allen. Rivers has been the model of consistency under center and Allen hasn’t dipped below double-digits in DKFP yet. This duo could dominate against the Chargers’ lackluster secondary.

Tyler Boyd, Bengals ($4,700) vs. Chargers

Boyd has outperformed A.J. Green in madden simulations and has surpassed 25 DKFP in three of his last five appearances. Los Angeles has a strong secondary, but the top defensive back will be on Green. Boyd is arguably the best value play at receiver given his recent level of performance.

Diontae Johnson, Steelers ($3,500) vs. Saints

Johnson has scored a touchdown in five straight games. He’s also reached double-digits in DKFP for five straight games. He doesn’t have huge games under his belt, but has one of the higher floors among the value play wideouts.

Odell Beckham Jr., Browns ($7,300) vs. Lions

Like I said before, Beckham is very stackable in this slate. His slump is linked to Mayfield’s recent performance. If Mayfield lets loos on Detroit’s weak secondary, Beckham will benefit.

Other options: Mike Williams, Chargers ($4,600) vs. Bengals; Phillip Dorsett II, Patriots ($4,000) vs. Eagles

Tight End

Ben Watson, Patriots ($4,300) vs. Eagles

Watson isn’t close to being a star, but Tom Brady loves tight ends and has helped him become a cheat code. Although is DKFP average (18) is bolstered by a 44.6-point performance, but he’s eclipsed 20 DKFP on two other occasions. He can do just as well as the pricier tight ends for less.

Tyler Higbee, Rams ($4,800) vs. Packers

Higbee can get lost in the Rams’ impressive group of wideouts, but has managed to hover around 10 DKFP per game pretty consistently. His has a high floor and a low ceiling. That can be valuable if you’re looking for a safe play at tight end. He’s playing at 8:00 p.m. ET, so you can wait until later on in the day to make a decision on him.

Other option: Jared Cook, Saints ($5,100) vs. Steelers

Defense/Special Teams

Saints D/ST ($3,200) vs. Steelers

Pittsburgh had a tough time against the Rams in its last simulation, and New Orleans has a strong defensive line that can limit the ground game. I like the Saints’ chances to lock down one of the slate’s weaker offenses.

Chargers D/ST ($3,000) vs. Cincinnati

Los Angeles has studs on the defensive line and in the secondary. Andy Dalton is second to last in DKFP per game (16.8) among quarterbacks. The Chargers in position to have a big game if it contains A.J. Green and makes Tyler Boyd beat them.

Other option: Patriots ($2,900) vs. Eagles
