UPDATE: Latest odds, betting splits for Stephens-Kattar

In the only featherweight bout on the main card at UFC 249, veteran and No. 7 ranked Jeremy Stephens takes on No. 9 Calvin Kattar in Jacksonville at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Saturday night.

Kattar is 20-4 all time in MMA, and will be the favorite with his 4-2 record in UFC. He last fought six months ago in a decision loss to Zabit Magomedsharipov. He’s a striker with a submission attempt average of 0.0% in UFC, which means he’ll be trying to win this fight on his feet.

Stephens had his first fight in the UFC in 2007 on an undercard, and the headliner that night was Chuck Liddell. Stephens’ 28-17 record is that of a journeyman, and one that hasn’t won in his last four fights (three losses, one no contest). It’s hard to see Stephens competing for a title, as he’s never fought for a belt in his 13 years in UFC to date, but he can still provide a stern test for Kattar.
