Fantasy football impact of Dallas Cowboys signing UDFA WR Aaron Parker

The Dallas Cowboys have one of the most dynamic receiving corps around and added unrestricted free agent Aaron Parker out of Rhode Island following the 2020 NFL Draft. Will he be able to contribute with so much talent at his position.

Parker was one of the most productive wideouts in program history at Rhode Island. He totaled 3,460 receiving yards and 30 touchdowns in four collegiate seasons. He notched career highs in receptions 81 receptions, receiving yards (1,224) in 2019 while hauling in nine touchdowns.

Scouting Report

Parker was leaned on for the majority of his collegiate career and continued to produce at a high level. He has below average speed and athleticism but manages to haul in 50/50 balls despite his lack of explosiveness off the ground. He could be successful working out of the slot though.

His body control, timing and hand strength translate on any level of football. He’s not fast and is too content to win in the air rather than with clever route running. Fantasy football impact

Dallas already has quality receivers in Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup before CeeDee Lamb fell into its laps in this year’s draft. This doesn’t bode well for Parker, as his ceiling seems to be a WR4 as a rookie with this kind of talent around him.
