Best lineup strategy for Korean baseball DFS May 29th

Eui Ji Yang is hitting his stride and should be one of the top targets in Friday’s five-game KBO slate.

DraftKings will have classic contests available for another five-game KBO slate on Friday. We go over the top plays at each position ahead for the first classic slate of the week, and you can set your lineup here.

Pitcher: Eric Jokisch, Kiwoom Heroes ($9,000)

Jokisch’s ERA (1.17) and WHIP (.87) are both elite in the KBO this season. The undefeated pitcher (3-0) will be up against a KT Wiz team that’s without two of its better batters. If you don’t feel like paying up, consider Min Woo Kim ($6,900), whose 25 strikeouts place him among the league leaders.

Catcher: Eui Ji Yang, NC Dinos ($5,400)

Yang has tallied at least 20 DKFP in two straight games, which has caused his price to jump significantly. I like his chances to perform at a high level against the lowest rated pitcher in the slate.

First Base: Roberto Ramos, LG Twins ($3,700)

Ramos had hit home runs in three straight games before tallying three DKFP on Tuesday. The home run leader should continue to be rostered at a high rate, but his price makes him worth it given his high ceiling.

Second Base: Jose Fernandez, Doosan Bears ($6,000)

Fernandez is still leading the league in a ton of stats thanks to his prowess at the plate. He’ll be up against a pitcher with the second highest ERA in the slate. His 21 RBIs only trail Preston Tucker’s mark of 22. He’s worth paying up for in most cases.

Shortstop: Ha Seong Kim, Kiwoom Heroes ($6,200)

Kim has been on the downstroke but should benefit from going up against the pitcher with the highest ERA (6.32) in the slate. He’s coming off a series against the Dinos, who have allowed the fewest hits (116) in the KBO. The KT Wiz haven’t been nearly as good defensively.

Third Base: Sang Su Kim, Samsung Lions ($4,700)

Kim is batting .344 and has the second highest OBP (.513) in the KBO. He hasn’t demonstrated a ton of power, but bats leadoff and should could a fair amount of opportunities at the plate to capitalize on his skills.

Outfield: Aaron Altherr, NC Dinos ($5,700)

Altherr has reached double-digits in fantasy points for three straight games and is up against a Lions team that’s given up the most home runs (24) in the league. Samsung’s starting pitcher has made it more than three innings once in four starts, so its safe to say the rotation will be shaky.

Outfield: Sung Bum Na, NC Dinos ($4,900)

Na hit two home runs and tallied 34 fantasy points in his last outing. He’s tallied at least 10 DKFP in six of his last seven games and should also benefit from the Lions’ weak pitching rotation. Stacking batters against Samsung is ideal in this slate.
