Best lineup strategy for Korean baseball DFS May 28th

DraftKings will have classic contests available for yet another five-game KBO slate on Thursday. We go over the top plays at each position ahead for the first classic slate of the week, and you can set your lineup here.

Pitcher: Warwick Saupold, Hanwha Eagles ($9,000)

Saupold is one of the few pitchers in the KBO with a complete game under his belt and has the highest DKFP average (18.7) in the field. The Eagles have allowed fewer hits and runs than any other team in the league at home. I like Saupold’s chances to protect his team’s turf.

Catcher: Eui Ji Yang, NC Dinos ($4,800)

Yang tallied 20 fantasy points by going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBIs Wednesday. He was also walked once. Jun Sung Kang ($2,600) had a big day off the bench, but if his value could be diminished if he continues to serve as a pinch hitter.

First Base: Roberto Ramos, LG Twins ($3,700)

Ramos hit yet another home run Wednesday, bringing his season season total to a league-leading nine. He’s batting .358 with 19 RBIs, so getting him for under $4,000 is hard to pass up.

Second Base: Jose Fernandez, Doosan Bears ($6,200)

Fernandez is still one of the priciest position players in the KBO, but continues to back up his price tag on the field. He’s batting .481 and leads the league in runs scored (20) and total hits (38). He’s often worth paying up for.

Shortstop: Ha Seong Kim, Kiwoom Heroes ($6,000)

Kim has climbed the ranks to become the priciest shortstop in the KBO. Although he hasn’t been so hot in his last three outings, he’s gone on a stretch that showed why he’s one of the best MLB prospects in the KBO.

Third Base: Sang Su Kim, Samsung Lions ($5,000)

Kim is batting .367 and only Fernandez can top his .513 OPS. He doesn’t have any home runs and has totaled just five RBIs, but puts himself in a position to score often enough to warrant his price.

Outfield: Aaron Altherr, NC Dinos ($5,100)

Altherr has tallied two hits in two straight games, which is a good sign given the level of consistency he’s shown. He’s also gone three straight games without a strikeout. I like his chances to make contact and make the opposition’s fielders make plays because of that.

Outfield: Dong Yeop Kim, Samsung Lions ($3,100)

Kim is one of the best value plays in the slate. He can be streaky, but has tallied four home runs and 16 RBIs this season. He’s totaled at least 12 DKFP in three of his last four games and has the potential to light it up.
