NASCAR wraps up its four days in Charlotte with the Cup Series running the Alsco Uniforms 500. The race is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27th at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The race start time is 8 p.m. ET and FS1 has the television broadcast.

Who has the pole position?

William Byron will be on the pole, with Alex Bowman joining him on the front row. There was no qualifying for the race, but rather organizers used the results from Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 to determine the starting grid. The first 20 spots were the inverse order of results from Sunday’s race, and the second 20 spots were the same order as Sunday’s 21st to 40th place drivers. Notably, Jimmie Johnson finished second on Sunday but was disqualified after failing a post-race inspection. That bumped Byron from 21st to 20th, which moved him to the pole for Wednesday.

Who are the favorites?

Martin Truex, Jr. is the favorite on race day at DraftKings Sportsbook at +500. He is followed by Chase Elliott (+550), Kyle Busch (+700), Alex Bowman (+750), and Brad Keselowski (+900).

Who does the public like?

Kyle Busch is getting the most money at DraftKings Sportsbook, with 16 percent of the handle and 10 percent of the total bets. Elliott is next at 12 percent and 9 percent, respectively. Bowman is getting 11 percent and 7 percent, with Truex at 10 percent and 8 percent. Byron’s move to the pole position has boosted betting on him, with 8 percent of the handle thus far.

What can I bet on?

DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a host of wagers. You can bet on who will win, and who will finish in the top 3, top 5, and top 10. The prop bets available include matchups of driver vs. driver, winners of stage 1 and 2, car number, manufacturer and team of race winner, top car by manufacturer, best finish in each of six groups of four racers, and grid position of the race winner.

What are the current Cup Series standings?

Kevin Harvick leads the series with 291points, and is 23 points ahead of Joey Logano. Alex Bowman has moved into third, followed by Chase Elliott, and then Brad Keselowski and Martin Truex tied for fifth.
