UPDATE: How the public is betting Hill-Abreu
In a preliminary light heavyweight battle that should see the winner head to the main card soon, Jamahal Hill face Klidson Abreu at UFC Fight Night on May 30th at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Hill is undefeated in MMA at 7-0, with three wins by knockout and four by submission. His unanimous decision victory over Darko Stosic in January was his UFC debut was his first on the main roster, following a stoppage of Alexander Poppeck in Dana White’s Contender Series. The Michigan native is 6’4 and has a five-inch reach advantage on his opponent.
Abreu is 15-4 as a pro, but just 1-2 since joining the UFC. He’s gone the distance in all three fights, and dropped a controversial split decision last time out to Shamil Gamzatov in November that many neutrals said he actually won. 10 of his 15 career wins are by submission, and he’ll likely want to get on the mat with Hill. The Brazilian is from Manaus, and at 27-years-old still has a long MMA career ahead of him, but needs to find a win in the big show to keep making progress.
