UPDATE: How the public is betting Roberts-Weaver

In a lightweight bout between two fighters looking to get on the rankings, Roosevelt Roberts takes on Brok Weaver at UFC Fight Night on May 30th from the UFC Apex arena in Las Vegas.

Roberts is an up-and-comer with a 9-1 record, 2-1 in the UFC. The 26-year-old has gone the distance in all of his fights since joining the promotion, but had three KO’s and four submissions on his way to the octagon. An alum of The Ultimate Fighter and Dana White’s Contender Series, Roberts is looking to enter the rankings in one of UFC’s most competitive divisions.

The 15-4 Weaver lives in Alabama and is a member of the MOWA Band of Choctaw Indians, and has quite a story in his trail to the promotion. He’s moved down from previous welterweight fights in the past, and in his first UFC fight he won by DQ after an illegal knee from his opponent Kazula Vargas in the first round. He’s won eight fights in a row, and if his skills as an athlete can keep up with his story outside the ring, he could be a star in the making.
