The Samsung Lions and Lotte Giants are facing off in a KBO matchup Tuesday at 5:30 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 and DraftKings will have Showdown contests available for the game. We break down the ideal lineup strategy below, and you can play here.

Captain’s Picks

Dan Straily, SP, Lotte Giants: $14,400

Straily and the NC Dinos’ Chang Mo Koo are tied for the league lead in strikeouts (25). His DKFP average (17) is only second to Chae Heung Choi in this contest. The Lions are one of the worst batting teams in the league this season, so this is a prime opportunity for Straily to pump up his stats. Getting him as the fourth most expensive player in the contest is a steal.

Dong Yeop Kim, OF, Samsung Lions: $9,300

Kim is one of the couple value plays that makes sense in this contest. He leads the Lions in runs scored (11), hits (22), home runs (4) and RBIs (16). While his batting average (.289) doesn’t pop out at you, he has a high ceiling thanks to the power hitting he’s been able to showcase.

Utility Picks

Dixon Machado, 2B/SS, Lotte Giants: $11,000

Machado is a pricier flex option but is riding a three-game hit streak. He’s shown that he can explode for big games, as he’s tallied four home runs and 15 RBIs this season. He’s worth giving a shot based on ceiling alone.

Hak Ju Lee, SS, Samsung Lions: $6,600

Lee is a quality value play, as he’s eclipsed double digits in fantasy points for three straight games. Six of his 10 RBIs have come in his last three games. This pick is more about riding his momentum. He’s cheap and won’t break the bank.
