Full race order for Coca-Cola 600 following qualifying runs

The Coca-Cola 600 gets started at 6 p.m., but qualifying is running on the same day. We break down the results and who is starting where in the grid.

UPDATE: Kurt Busch has claimed the pole, with Jimmie Johnson joining him on the front row. Last year’s pole-sitter, Aric Almirola, was the only driver to not complete a lap after he spun out. He will start in the back of the pack with Joey Gase.

The Coca-Cola 600 gets underway at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 24th, but first, we have qualifying. This marks the first NASCAR race of the restarted season to run qualifying heats rather than simply use random draw or previous race results.

Qualifying for the Coca-Cola 600 is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET, and will air on FS1. It is worth noting that the Alsco Uniforms 500 on Wednesday will not be using qualifying times. It will operate like the Toyota 500 did last week in Darlington, with the first 20 on the track set by inverse order of performance at tonight’s race.

A year ago, William Byron claimed the pole and was joined by Aric Almirola in the front row. Kyle Busch and Austin Dillon were in the second row, and Kevin Harvick and Danuel Suarez were in the third row. Martin Truex, Jr. won the race after starting 14th, and was followed by Joey Logano (started 7th), Kyle Busch (started 3rd), and Chase Elliott (started 12th).

Qualifying is underway, and as results come in, we’ll be posting the full race order below.
