Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on May 24th

DraftKings will have yet another six-game slate of Madden simulations on Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals at New England Patriots, Baltimore Ravens at Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers at Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders at Carolina Panthers, Houston Texans at Los Angeles Chargers, and Miami Dolphins at Minnesota Vikings will all face off in the simulation. We break down the top plays at each position, and you can set your lineup here.

Quarterback

Lamar Jackson, Ravens ($7,800) at Colts

Jackson had a rough patch there for three games, but put up 30 DK points last time out against the Bears by rushing for 123 yards and a touchdown and adding another passing touchdown to the mix. This Sunday he gets a matchup with a below average Colts secondary and maybe his down numbers over the last four games and his high price keeps him from being rostered quite as much as usual.

Philip Rivers, Chargers ($6,600) vs. Texans

Rivers was on fire for much of this simulated season, but has really come back to reality of late. The good news this week is the Chargers get a bad Texans secondary and they are back at home after playing five road games in a row. Rivers has played better at home and in this matchup, he has good upside.

Running back

James White, Patriots ($5,700) vs. Cardinals

White has become much more consistent of late, hitting double-digit DK points in his last four and gaining numbers both on the ground and through the air. That combination should continue to help his floor. Sony Michel barely touches the ball, so White should remain the lead back moving forward.

Dalvin Cook, Vikings ($7,100) vs. Dolphins

Cook has been one of the more consistent running backs in these simulations and gets a nice matchup at home against the Dolphins. No running backs are really putting up top end numbers each game, but Cook has eight games over 13 DK points over his last 11. Add in the matchup with the lackluster Dolphins and his upside gets a nice boost.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams, Packers ($8,000) at Denver

Adams has seven games over 17 DK points in his last ten. That consistency comes from him being by far the best target in Green Bay, which is true in real life as well. He gets a tougher matchup in Denver than he’s had of late, but in his last two road games he put up 17.6 and 25.3 DK points against the Bears and Ravens.

Keenan Allen, Chargers ($7,500) vs. Texans

Allen has five touchdowns in five home games this season and gets a positive matchup against the Texans at home this Sunday. In his 15 games this simulated season, he has only fallen below five receptions once. His price is up there, but I don’t think you can find another receiver with his kind of consistency and upside at home in a strong matchup.

Mike Williams, Chargers ($4,800) vs. Texans

There aren’t as many upside plays for cheap than usual, which makes Williams a stronger play than usual. He’s not as consistent as the higher priced receivers, but he’s quite consistent for his price. Eight points isn’t good, but he’s never fallen below that number, so we know his floor isn’t catastrophic. He has five games over 21 DK points and thirteen touchdowns in 14 matchups. He looks like a must start to save some salary today.

Curtis Samuel, Panthers ($4,400) vs. Raiders

Samuel gets a nice matchup against a bad Raiders secondary in Carolina on Sunday. Samuel is risky, as the panthers passing game doesn’t have a lot of upside, but he has hit 11 or more DK points in seven of his last nine games. For his price and matchup, he has a good shot at hitting value.

Tight End

Ben Watson, Patriots ($4,000) vs. Cardinals

Watson’s floor is bad, as he’s coming off a 1.6 DK points game against the Jaguars in his last matchup, but there is good upside in his game. He’s hit 11 or more DK points in six of his last eight games and gets a good matchup against the Cardinals.

Hunter Henry, Chargers ($5,200) vs. Texans

Henry hasn’t put up big numbers during these sims, but has hit double-digits in his last three matchups and makes for a good piece of a Philip Rivers stack this Sunday.

Defense/Special Teams

Minnesota Vikings ($3,000) vs. Dolphins

The Vikings D/ST has hit 21, 3, 11, 8 and 21 DK points in their last five games games and now they take on the Dolphins at home. Their incredible numbers of defensive fumble recoveries can’t be overlooked, as they have 19 in 16 games, which has helped them to four defensive touchdowns this simulated season.
