Jadon Sancho, Gio Reyna will not start against Wolfsburg

The player that’s been heavily linked in the transfer market will start on the substitute’s bench today

UPDATE: Three days later, Sancho is not starting again for Der Klassiker with Bayern Munich. Expect him to come off the bench.

Borussia Dortmund have released their Starting XI for today’s match against VfL Wolfsburg, and it doesn’t include potential £100 million transfer Jadon Sancho again.

The 20-year-old striker from England has been linked to glamour Premier League clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool, and striking the balance between needing his offensive firepower and keeping him healthy for the incoming transfer market this summer will be a challenge.

Dortmund face Bayern Munich on Tuesday in one of the most anticipated matches in club football worldwide because of the Bundesliga being the only major domestic league in season. Whether he’s in the lineup for the match against Munich will be interesting.

Also, 17-year-old Gio Reyna is also listed on the substitutes bench for Dortmund today. The son of USMNT legend Claudio Reyna could potentially see the pitch today, especially because of the five-substitute rule being used as the Bundesliga restarts in a post Covid-19 season.
