Best lineup strategy for Bayern Munich-Frankfurt Showdown

Captain’s Picks

Robert Lewandowski, F, Bayern ($18,900)

The Bundesliga’s leading scorer has to be an overwhelming favorite here. He’s netted four goals in his last three appearances and leads all players in shots on goal (57) and total shots (110). While he doesn’t provide a ton of playmaking upside, his confidence and ability to attack the goal gives him the highest ceiling in the contest.

Serge Gnabry, M, Bayern ($15,900)

Gnabry struggled to get going last week, but remains a dot-it-all player who can impact the game in a lot of ways. He’s second on Bayern in goals (11) and assists (9). Unlocking his ability as a passer by sending in crosses is what he failed to do in his last outing, but it’s hard to see that being the case for a second straight game.

Flex Plays

Thomas Muller, M/F, Bayern ($11,400)

Muller is a pricey flex play, but consistently finishes with more than 10 DKFP when he plays the full 90 minutes. He leads the Bundesliga in assists with 16 and should be an integral piece of many Bayern attacks. It’ll be hard to execute a successful Bayern stack without Muller or Gnabry being in the mix.

Martin Hinteregger, D, Frankfurt ($3,200)

Hinteregger is one of the better value plays available if you want load up with Bayern players. He’s an involved passer for a defender and has netted six goals with one assist so far this season. The fact that he’s made 23 starts this season and is third on Frankurt in DKFP per game (9.5) makes him seem ling a strong play.
