Yong Ho Jo, OF, KT Wiz: $8,100
Jo has excelled as his team’s designated hitter. He hasn’t spent as much time at the plate as his teammates because of a hamstring injury he suffered last week, but is batting .581 on the year with 18 hits and seven RBIs in 13 appearances. He’s tallied double-digits in fantasy points for four straight games while tallying at least two hits per contest during that span. Given his recent level of production, this is a bargain in the captain’s spot.
Roberto Ramos, 1B, LG Twins: $10,800
Ramos is tied for the the league lead in home runs (6) and tallied one hit with an RBI on Friday. Getting a power hitter like him for cheap is better than paying up for for Mel Rojas Jr. With Baek Ho Kang out for three weeks, Ramos might be the best power hitter in the contest.
Utility Picks
Mel Rojas Jr., OF, KT Wiz: $10,200
Rojas might not be worth paying up for, but he’s still one of the more capable hitters in the field. His 28 hits are only second to the Doosan Bears’ Jose Fernandez in the KBO, and he’s batting .452 on the year. Once start to hit more home runs, his DKFP average (11.1) should rise.
Eun Sung Chae, OF, LG Twins: $6,000
Chae has the top five in RBIs (16) and runs scored (14) in the KBO this year. He’s batting .316 and has also showcased some power with three home runs. Getting him as one of the cheaper options in the slate is a steal given his ability to get on base at bring runners in scoring position home.
