Best lineup strategy for Dolphins vs. Buccaneers Madden simulation Showdown

The Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off in a Madden sim Friday at 12:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play on DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Jameis Winston, QB, Buccaneers ($16,200)

Both teams in this game have poor secondaries, but Winston has significantly more talented receiving corps. While he wasn’t able to get much going in his last simulation against the Kansas City Chiefs in the rain, I don’t anticipate that being the case with clear skies against the Dolphins. He should be able to hurl the ball down the field with few consequences to Mike Evans.

Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers ($15,300)

I’d be surprised if a lineup without both Winston and Evans won this contest. Evans is easily the best receiver in the slate and will have a mismatch regardless of who’s covering him. His 95 jumping and 95 catching in traffic gives him an advantage over cornerbacks trying to beat him in the air when he meets the ball at its apex.

FLEX Men

DeVante Parker, WR, Dolphins ($9,600)

Parker is Miami’s dialed down version of Evans, but the Buccaneers have worse cornerbacks than the Dolphins. Ryan Fitzpatrick isn’t shy about taking shots down the field, and Parker has the best chance and hauling those passes down. Even of he doesn’t have a ton of catches, his big play ability can’t be ignored.

Jakeem Grant, WR, Dolphins ($4,600)

Speedsters like Grant are often decent value plays. Grant’s overall rating is 74 and he has 82 catching, but his 96 speed can be huge. Being a kick returner gives Grant more value than the average fast wideout, as we’ve seen him take a kickoff to the house this sim season. He can create space for wide open catches and can eat up yards after the catch if he gets downhill.
