The Philadelphia Eagles and Washington will face off in a Madden sim Thursday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.
Captain’s Picks
Miles Sanders, RB, Eagles ($10,200)
Sanders got off to a hot start before being iced out of his last sim, but might have the highest ceiling in this game. We’ve seen him tally as many as 50 DKFP in a contest. He can get going on the ground, catches passes, and is even Philadelphia’s top kick returner. If the Eagles get him the ball consistently, he can light Washington’s below average defense up.
Dwayne Haskins, QB, Washington ($15,600)
Haskins might be farm from Carson Wentz in terms of skill, but he’s put together more big games than the Eagles signal caller. Washington doesn’t have a great receiving corps, but Haskins makes use of subpar pass catchers and could benefit from facing the Eagles’ underwhelming secondary.
Flex Men
Terry McLaurin, WR, Washington ($8,400)
McLaurin is easily Washington’s best receiver. While he can be a little streaky and doesn’t have amazing catching (86), his 93 speed makes him a dangerous scoring threat. This game could get out of Washington’s hands early and Philadelphia’s defensive line won’t make running the ball an option. McLaurin could rack up garbage time points down the stretch if he doesn’t get going early.
Zach Ertz, TE, Eagles ($9,000)
If Sanders isn’t getting the ball in the red zone, the next best option is Ertz. The tight end has the best hands of any Eagles skill player and is a threat regardless of field position. We’ve seen him make some huge plays down the field in close games, and he could be a hail Mary target if the game is close.
