The Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants will face off in a Madden sim Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that will be played in the snow. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

Saquon Barkley ($13,500)

Alright, alright, I’ll eat the chalk! Barkley is going to be very popular in the Captain’s slot. You’ve been warned. The good thing is this is a solid matchup and Barkley has been rock solid with 18 points per sim. His last outing was a monster game vs. the Raiders with 155 yards and two scores for 33.7 FPTs. Barkley continues to be underpriced relative to his production and you can find spots to get leverage elsewhere.

Adam Thielen ($12,600)

Speaking of rock solid, Thielen has scored in back-to-back games for the Vikes. He’s almost always a threat to score with nine TDs in 15 simulations. The Vikings have the dream matchup against the Giants secondary, and while the slot is the prime spot to exploit, Thielen should also do fine. I really like his ceiling in this game and overall we wouldn’t be paying too much at Captain.

FLEX Men

Darius Slayton ($5,200)

You know what to do. It’s another Showdown for the Giants and it’s another lineup you’re going to have Slayton in. We liked him in the last Showdown and 8.4 points was fine at the $5,400 price tag. Now, Slayton is down $200 for another decent matchup and we know Daniel Jones is going to look his way plenty. As long as Slayton is priced under $7K, you’re going to want to consider him almost every contest.

LaQuon Treadwell ($3,600)

You’re probably scanning over Treadwell’s box score and going “This Zweiman clown doesn’t know anything.” Well, you’re right, I’m an idiot. The thing is, my producers aren’t. Treadwell is a slot corner and the Giants have a horrible slot corner in Grant Haley. He should be matched up with Treadwell and it’s only a matter of time before the Vikings WR pops off. Usually this matchup results in TDs, so a long score could happen.
