Th New Orleans Saints and Tennessee Titans will face off in a Madden sim Saturday at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

Michael Thomas ($15,900)

New Orleans’ passing attack has been firing on all cylinders in fake football land. Thomas has led the assault with two TDs in back-to-back games. He’s also gone over 100 yards in two of the past three games. The Titans have a decent secondary that could get to the Saints, but I think NOLA has been just too good.

Jared Cook ($11,100)

Contrary to how he was used this past season for the Saints, Cook is actually a monster in Madden sims. He’s racked up 25 receptions over the past five games. That would be 5.0 fantasy points per game just on catches, which is an insane floor. When you throw in the yards — which is basically over 70 every game — Cook might be the most productive TE in all of Madden sim land.

FLEX Men

A.J. Brown ($8,400)

If you want to get off of the Saints offense a little bit, the Titans have a guy named A.J. Brown who is decent. Brown is a burner and has some pop, but he’s been pretty consistent with 16 catches over his past three games. Brown will probably have high ownership in the FLEX so he’s another name to consider at Captain.

Tre’Quan Smith ($4,600)

Okay, back to the Saints offense. So Smith is another cheap WR (shocker) that has a lot of upside in these simulations. He’s coming off six catches for 84 yards and a TD against the Chiefs in his last sim and has had two 20+ fantasy point outings so far. This feels like the type of sim Showdown we should probably just stack WRs and hope they all go bonkers.
