The Los Angeles Rams and Seattle Seahawks will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 10:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play in the DraftKings contest before kickoff.
Captain’s Picks
Russell Wilson ($17,700)
I’m a very conservative spender when it comes to Captain in most cases but not today! Wilson’s had some pretty nutty games recently and I wonder how many big plays we’ll get in this one. The Rams defense is pretty solid and the Seahawks have no run game. Wilson is their run game. So we’re paying a premium on pretty much the entire Seattle offense. I’d pay $20K maybe even $25K to get the entire Seahawks offense in one play.
Todd Gurley ($12,600)
If you’re out there and you know Sean McVay, tell him to not watch these Madden streams with the Rams still rostering Gurley. McVay’s going to miss Gurley and trade for him back. Gurley has been great as a floor play in sim land. His usage in the passing game is eye-opening. He soaks up so many touches, catching a total of 43 passes in 14 games. Gurley is the complete package still in Madden and should be treated as such: The Captain.
FLEX Men
DK Metcalf ($6,200)
Metcalf is one of those WRs that is in the mid-range and really never disappoints you too much. He’s pretty consistently putting up 8+ fantasy points, which is a nice floor. His ceiling is infinite. Metcalf has had some big games with 100+ yards and a TD. That sort of variance is why he’s still pretty cheap. This is a matchup Metcalf can win as well.
CJ Prosise ($1,200)
I know I mentioned that the Seahawks have no run game and it’s all Wilson. That’s still true but it doesn’t mean we can’t use a Seattle RB. Prosise has 29 receptions in 14 games so far this sim season, which is about 2.0 per contest. That’s 2.0 points that instantly helps Prosise return value on his salary! No way! Any extra points after that are just a bonus really.
