Best lineup strategy for Bengals vs. Colts Madden simulation Showdown

T.Y. Hilton has a good chance to dominate in Monday’s Bengals-Colts Madden simulation.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Indianapolis Colts will face off in a Sunday Madden sim at 12 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts ($15,300)

Both teams in this matchup have bad secondaries, and I’m leaning toward betting on wide receivers as captains because of that. Hilton is the Colts’ highest rated (88) skill player and has multiple superstar traits at his disposal. He can amass tons of yards after the catch at a high rate if he activates RAC ‘em up, is an elite route runner, and excels at making double moves to get into space. He has too many tool to ignore.

Tyler Boyd, WR, Bengals ($10,800)

Although Boyd is the Bengals’ second best receiver, he’s been more consistent than A.J. Green. He’s listed as Cincinnati’s slot wideout, and those players always find themself open in the middle — especially by the goal line. If you still want to get Green in your lineup, you can easily do that by captaining Boyd. You can even fit Hilton in as well by going with the value play.

Flex Men

Eric Ebron, TE, Colts ($7,600)

Ebron is the Colts’ third highest rated player and is a big target Jacoby Brissett consistently hits in the middle of the field. He’s a big threat in the red zone as well and is only second to T.Y. Hilton in terms of catching ability.

Jacoby Brissett, QB, Colts ($10,000)

Brissett has the kind of gunslinger mentality that gives him a high ceiling in Madden sims. His rating shouldn’t be much of a factor against the Bengals’ defense. He has an elite route runner in Hilton and will keep throwing the ball whether his team is up or down. He’s cheaper than Andy Dalton and has been more productive in sims.
