Best bets and props for Skins Game with Rory McIlRoy, Dustin Johnson, Rickie Fowler today

We break down the driveability on the front nine of Seminole Golf Club from someone that’s played it, and see if we can find some value here.

Think you’ve got the best info on the TaylorMade Driving Relief Skins Game today? Well we checked in with a source that’s close to the course, and someone that’s played the super-exclusive Palm Beach landmark frequently.

And before you ask, he’s also played The Medalist hundreds of times, so he’ll be our scout for next week for The Match with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady, and Peyton Manning as well.

With plenty of hole props available today, we figured we’d drop in what we we’ve been told about the setup, which has been changed a smidge recently. Here’s what we’ve been told, and we think there’s value in the longest drive on each hole props.

For all the longest drives props available at DraftKings Sportsbook on the front nine, the odds are the same. So no matter the hole, here’s the price:

Rory McIlroy +175
Dustin Johnson +225
Matthew Wolff +335
Rickie Fowler +400

Hole 3

“#3 is the first Par 5 and probably not a driver hole, but I haven’t seen the course since they cleared out the sea grapes and scrub palms down the right side last summer. The green is severely sloped and very fast.”

So we know Rory and DJ as a team might be the longest hitters, but if they aren’t taking driver here, there should be value in Wolff or Fowler to hit it further since the other team might be laying up. With this knowledge, we’ll take the two long shots to hit it farther here.

Hole 4

“#4 is a driver hole, but the fairway tapers in and slopes down and to the left toward an awkward fairway bunker.”

This might be a spot for McIlroy and DJ, as their length seems less encumbered here. But the odds are the same price, so if you’re betting the favored, longer team, do it here.

Hole 7

“#7 is a driver hole, but it plays dead into the teeth of the wind.”

Same as #4, as anything into the wind requires pure clubhead speed and power as you’ll get less roll no matter your ball flight. We’ll be on McIlroy and DJ here as well depending on how they’re hitting it through the first six holes.

Something to be noted

“The most important shot at Seminole is the approach shot into the green...BY FAR!!! The greens are rock hard, fast as lightning, and severely sloped. If you miss the green:

Short-sided = death. Above the hole = death. Short-sided and above the hole = death by medieval torture.”

Keep all of the above in mind while you’re doing any in-game betting today.
